HAIR
ANALYSIS
All labs are provided as a service to Comprehensive
Psychiatric Resource patients. All questions regarding insurance
should be directed to the labs. The following is an outline of the
procedure:
Hair analysis is an accurate method of screening for
heavy metals. When toxic, heavy metals are elevated in the hair,
there is reason to investigate the origin of the toxicity. Toxic
elements in the system can inhibit the functioning of the enzymes
in the body, weaken cell membranes and impair nutrient absorption.
Hair analysis is a noninvasive way to measure toxicity prior to
the development of other symptoms.

CBC BLOOD
TESTING

procedure:
In the last 25 years there has been an explosion
of research in the area of nutrition and how it affects blood chemistry
and health. Now there are extremely sophisticated computer programs
that analyzes a patient's blood work using a cutting edge diagnostic
technique so sensitive that it can pick up even the most subtle
metabolic imbalances. Through this detailed analysis, we help to
identify the underlying causes of disease conditions or detect emerging
health problems before they develop into full-blown disease processes.
This approach emphasizes highly individualized-recommendations specific
to the out of balance conditions in the patients blood work. Dr.
Greenblatt then refines the recommendations based upon his physical
examination and years of clinical expertise.
An organized, sensible biochemical approach can address
metabolic imbalances by supplying the body with every opportunity
for growth and repair. Uncovering your unique biochemical needs
through blood chemistry analysis leads you towards the resolution
of the metabolic inefficiencies rather than a rote list of medications
or nutrients that may or may not be helpful.

FOOD ALLERGY
TESTING
All labs are provided as a service to Comprehensive
Psychiatric Resource patients. All questions regarding insurance
should be directed to the labs. The following is an outline of the
procedure:
Many ADHD patients demonstrate significant allergies
to some foods. Food allergies may be the culprit behind a "mysterious"
set of symptoms. Unidentified, these symptoms can culminate in severe
discomfort causing a wide range of reactions including indigestion,
celiac disease, arthritis, chronic infections, depression, anxiety
as well as triggering problematic behaviors such as defiance, aggression,
and obsessive behavior. Food allergies can be very difficult to
diagnosis correctly because many food based allergies are delayed.
These delayed reactions do not often produce results on traditional
skin tests. By Identifying and attacking the source of symptoms,
your physician can design an individual program to restore and maintain
your maximum level of health.

FATTY ACID
TESTING
All labs are provided as a service to Comprehensive
Psychiatric Resource patients. All questions regarding insurance
should be directed to the labs. The following is an outline of the
procedure:
Fatty acid imbalances manifest in different ways
for each individual and can affect almost any bodily system. Signs
and symptoms include, but are not limited to: dry skin, frequent
urination, irritability, hyperactivity, allergies, lowered immunity,
weakness, dry eyes, dyslexia, learning problems, cracked skin on
the heels or finger tips etc. By identifying a deficiency in any
of the essential fatty acids an individual can better understand
their unique biochemical needs.

ORGANIC
ACID TESTING
All labs are provided as a service to Comprehensive
Psychiatric Resource patients. All questions regarding insurance
should be directed to the labs. The following is an outline of the
procedure:
ADHD patients exhibit elevations of GI yeast, bacteria,
or fungus and the metabolites of these compounds can affect neurologic
function, energy levels and vitamin utilization. In addition, the
compromised GI tract (dysbiosis) can reduce the absorption and breakdown
of proteins into their amino acid sequences. Further, the testing
may identify neurotransmitter or catecholamine deficiencies, effecting
attention, sleep and hyperactivity and which may respond to simple
supplements. Lastly Organic Acid Testing can document dietary problems.

DIGESTIVE STOOL ANALYSIS
All labs are provided as a service to Comprehensive
Psychiatric Resource patients. All questions regarding insurance
should be directed to the labs. The following is an outline of the
procedure:
The gastrointestinal system serves to absorb needed
nutrients from food and prevents toxins and disease-causing organisms
from entering the rest of the body. Stool analyses evaluates the
entire scope of gastrointestinal function: digestion and absorption,
bacterial balance, yeast and immune status. It is an accurate method
to test for parasites or bacteria that may be causing metabolic
imbalances that contribute to ADHD symptoms.

ZINC LEVELS
Most ADHD patients demonstrate undesirably low
levels of Zinc. Zinc is a very important element in three respects;
one is its crucial role in the functioning of the immune system.
Additionally, deficiencies diminish the sense of taste and overall
growth and aggravate skin reactions (rashes). Lastly, it balances
the levels of copper in the body. Copper elevations are associated
with GI problems and aggressive/defiant behavior. Zinc is relatively
simple to provide via supplements, but since high Zinc levels can
reduce copper levels too far it is best to test for zinc deficiency
before starting supplementation.
